Gold Fever -This fine art ocean photograph was captured at Bronte Beach, Australia, on a warm summer evening. I had been feeling unwell for days, but the pull of the ocean was too strong to resist. Hoping some fresh air might help, I headed down to the beach.
When I arrived, long lines of waves were rolling perfectly into the bay, breaking into clean, barrelling tubes near the shore. Above them, the sky was painted with striking cloud patterns. The temptation was too great – despite the fever, I grabbed my camera and dove in.
As soon as I began shooting, the sky erupted into a fiery spectacle of gold and crimson – one of the most vivid sunsets I’ve ever witnessed.
