Salmon – All-year-round large school of salmon swirling around Sydney’s beaches. They provide food for our local sharks, dolphins, and seals.
Tamarama beach is exposed to ocean swell therefore it is usually rough, and the water visibility is quite poor, between two and five meters.
On this beautiful summer afternoon, the water was very calm, and the bay looked like a tropical lagoon. I jumped in for a swim. After half an hour, thousands of salmon swam into the bay and started circling around me. The water visibility was unbelievable, around 20 meters. I’ve never seen it so clear before.
