Epiphany – This fine art sea life photograph was captured just past Cabbage Tree Island, between Tomaree Headland and the open ocean, in the Port Stephens – Great Lakes Marine Park, Australia.
It was the first swim of our season after the winter break, and the ocean welcomed us with one of the most extraordinary days we’ve seen. The water was crystal clear – with visibility reaching nearly 30 metres, a rare gift in these waters.
We encountered a massive pod of 200–300 common dolphins that joined our boat, riding the bow wave and gliding effortlessly through the vibrant blue. The light, the clarity, and the energy of the pod created a scene so surreal, it blurred the line between dream and reality.
