Spartan – Spartan warriors are known for their professionalism and were the best and most feared soldiers of Greece in the fifth century B.C. The warriors of Sparta had the reputation for being the fiercest of warriors amongst the Greeks.

During winter, from time-to-time large swells reaches Sydney’s shoreline, with powerful 10 + feet waves. At this time of the year, the westerly is the prevailing wind direction, and it brings icy air from the mountains. The wind blows away all the clouds from the sea, creating beautiful, clear cloudless mornings, with golden sparkling waves.

Watching the handful of surfers against the endless lines of powerful waves reminds me of the hero warriors of Sparta.

Cotton Rag – Hahnemühle Hemp

290 gsm, 60% hemp fibre, 40% cotton, white

Hahnemühle Hemp uses one of the oldest and most diverse natural fibres in the world and is made of 60% hemp fibre. The FineArt inkjet paper’s base impresses with its bright white natural tone, and thanks to the bright white colour of the hemp fibres, no optical brighteners are required. The lightly textured surface gives the paper a pleasant, silky feel. Combined with the matt premium inkjet coating, this is a truly versatile FineArt inkjet paper. Colours and details are brilliantly reproduced, the depth of the black truly stands out and contrasts are reproduced with stunning effect. The acid- and lignin-free FineArt inkjet paper meets the most exacting requirements for age resistance. Hemp was an essential part of paper production for centuries, and due to its extremely robust fibres, it has often been used for long-lasting historical documents, such as the Gutenberg Bible and the US Declaration of Independence.

Natural Line

The plants that provide the cellulose require minimal maintenance, grow quickly and don’t need any pesticides. This document declares that each artwork was created and scrutinized by the artist.

Every image was captured on an industry-leading 46 mpx camera with prime lenses and edited on Adobe RGB color-calibrated monitor.

Each artwork is printed on the finest photo paper with an industry-leading Epson 9900 Printer which uses the highest quality printer ink available.

The 100cm or larger artworks receive a numbered certificate displaying the printed image.
