Limited Edition Ocean Art – Alpha Centauri
This fine art photograph was captured in Jervis Bay, Australia, during one of nature’s rarest and most awe-inspiring events. Bioluminescence, caused by microscopic organisms called dinoflagellates, occurs when the water is disturbed – releasing a soft, electric-blue glow. It’s unpredictable, fleeting, and almost otherworldly in appearance.
On this night, the sea came alive with light. As glowing waves rolled over the shoreline, a lone figure stood on the rocks – still, silent, and seemingly untouched by time. The moment felt unreal, as if taken from a dream.
The title Alpha Centauri was inspired by the film Avatar – where the natural world pulses with beauty and energy far beyond human control. Standing beneath a sky filled with stars, surrounded by a glowing sea, it felt as though I had stepped into that imagined world.
Edition: #6/10
Printed on: Museum-Grade Fine Art Paper – Fibre Gloss, Hahnemühle FineArt Baryta
Image Size: 100 × 80 cm (40” × 32”)
